The Decision to Choose Entegra

Following a presentation to PGA members by Entegra’s Iain Shaw, Conwy Golf Club’s general manager Matthew Parsley reached out to explore opportunities. Matthew had this to say about his decision. “After seeing Iain’s presentation, it was clear to me that Entegra has the knowledge and resource to assist me with improving by F&B profitability. As a proud PGA Professional, I am very much a people person and Iain is as passionate about food and food procurement as I am about Golf and Golf Club Management, so we struck up a good relationship straight away. Iain is also a keen golfer and has been around the game for over 30 years, so he understands what golf clubs and golfers need. Iain has visited me at the club and after auditing my food procurement process showed me the savings that could be made. Cost Savings

Like many hospitality businesses across the country Conwy faced the challenge of rising food costs and was eager to find a way to mitigate them. Following a comprehensive analysis of existing procurement costs, Entegra leveraged their network of supplier partners to deliver savings of 10% across food categories compared to Conwy’s incumbent suppliers.

Going forwards Entegra are also helping with indirect spend by exploring options for new affordable catering equipment and halfway house design.

Purchase and Revenue Tracking

To improve revenue tracking Entegra set up an application called food flash. This has helped accurately track food purchases and revenue over the last three months yielding valuable insights that can be leveraged to maximise the profitability of Conwy’s menu offerings.
