Segment Research: Faith-Based

Research shows campers and guests want healthy meal options at all meal parts throughout the day.

Nearly 22% of adults are trying to avoid gluten, the main protein found in wheat. Gluten has been cited as a cause of weight gain, “brain fog,” skin rashes, joint pain, headaches, tiredness and increased daily ailments. As many as 20 million Americans think gluten-free diets are healthier, and nearly 13 million are giving up gluten as a way to lose weight. It is smart to offer a gluten-free alternative at each meal and for snacks like fresh fruits and vegetables, lean meats and whole grains, such as wild rice and quinoa.

Providing healthy meals made from wholesome, natural ingredients that are minimally processed is a must. Many campers want to continue their healthy habits away from home by consuming foods that have been minimally processed and contain natural ingredients. Salads with locally sourced produce and all-natural grilled chicken provide a healthy, satisfying meal perfect for lunch or dinner.
